Latest News

The project is coming to an end in March and the Project Officer, Nicole Williamson is looking at ways the good work of the Rural Craft Network can be continued.  She will be working closely with partners to develop a rural crafts learning centre, a rural crafts co-operative shop or a tourism venture, which will promote rural crafts and conservation-type activities to tourists.  She will focus on developing a framework from which future craft opportunities for schools can continue to be made available.  All of this will hopefully help the project attract further funding.   If you are interested in finding out more about the project please contact the WON team.

In 12 months The Rural Crafts project has enthused the local community into learning rural crafts:

"Came to the course with doubts as to whether I would be able to do it and left full of confidence and raring to go."
"The group size was just right and a great bunch of people - in fact a really enjoyable day. Thank you."
